As the month has progressed, I have been monitoring the number of “Likes” of each topic in a type of unofficial survey. I can tell you that over half have 30 “likes” and then the rest, mostly of the various types of rapes, have 20 “likes”… except for 1. In fact, this posting stayed less than 10 “likes” for several days till it finally hit a count of 12 total “likes”. 12 “likes” compared to 22 to a high of 47 “likes” for Day 4, Psychological Abuse. The abusel that the majority of people did not like was:Day 25… Statutory Rape. I feel that this fits right in with Victim Blaming and Rape Culture that is currently a problem in society. So many people blame these young females for their behaviors as they test their boundaries into adulthood. We need to remember that these are still children, not of legal age, to make adult decisions. We also need to remember that true consensual sex is between 2 legal consenting adults so the age of the sexual partner is very important.
